Colne Valley Connections - Networking Event - 28th October

By loca October 16th, 2009

Date: Wednesday 28 October
Time: Prompt 6.30 start - 8.30pm
Venue: The Watershed, 22 Bridge Street, Slaithwaite, Huddersfield HD7 5JN

Loca invites you to join us and Colne Valley creative businesses/practitioners for the last in our current series of networking events. The evening event on Wednesday 28 October marks the end of our 6-month Creative Business Support pilot and the start of a longer-term programme for the coming year.

At this Colne Valley Connections we’ll therefore be celebrating both endings and beginnings. As you may know the original “taster” programme is coming to a close. Feedback gathered along the way has been very positive and has helped make the case for extending the programme, but we’d like to hear more – what’s worked, what hasn’t, how was it for you? If you haven’t been involved yet, here’s your chance to hear what others have to say.

The evening is about feedback, review, consultation, planning – but most of all connections, a theme that will run throughout the coming year. This and future similar events are your chance to get connected, by meeting informally with other creative people and picking up ideas, information and contacts. They are also an opportunity to promote your own work and enable others to make connections with you - so do use Colne Valley Connections as a platform to let people know about events or projects that you are involved in, or to sound out interest in an idea you’re developing, or to request information. Feel free to bring along your portfolio, brochures or other material to show – that’s an aspect of the events that we’d like to see developing, so over to you….

To help us organise the event it’s useful to know in advance if you are planning to attend – call Loca on 01924 488844 or email: loca.admin@loca.co.uk.

  • Please contact us if you have any particular access needs.
  • On-street parking is available on Bridge Street.
